The belt extender is supposed to sit in the center so that it creates the love of extra people if you love the belt and you want it to be tighter, you can always have the elastic pulled in by your local shoe cobbler. There is some slight wear on the interior part where I bent the buckle. But that happens with any belt. This belt is great because you can sag it and wear it lower or you can remove the extender and wear high waisted. The elastic is very forgiving so if you have a larger waste than mine, then this may just fit perfectly. I got this in probably 2010 so it’s definitely “vintage “ Prada and Erma have done iterations of this very style in the same year. So this is the Suzi Roher vision of what was featured on the runway that year.
