SOLD True Vintage 1930s Deco Era White Woven Pointed Pixie 。A rare true vintage early 1940s hand crocheted hat in what I call a volcano shape. This is a true period piece and not a new reproduction. I added a photo of the same hat from my 1944 crochet book! These were made from crochet booklets along with matching purses. This one is heavy cotton gimp yarn in a cream and light rust shade. It has a turned up brim, high pointed crown and two turned up pieces in the back. The crown is meant to be pushed in. It is not a cloche to pull down!! It does not stretch or give. It just sits on top of your head, as shown in the photos. A small size that will not pull down. This little hat is soft and forms the shape when worn. In excellent condition. No stains or damage. I added a photo of a similar hat. These are not that common to find. One of my favorites!
