Maude Wide Brim Fedora | Stylish Women。What a distinguished and beautiful yellow felt fedora from the fashionable 1940s\'! The short crown is indented at the top. The upturned brim is made of 2 pieces of felt topstitched together. At one side, the brim extends into strips that cross each other creating a cover for the ivory and tan curly feathers which point upwards and forwards. There is an elastic band attached to the inside of the hat to help keep the hat in place under the hair. This is a stunning look! The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials. Explosions of feathers, veiling & artificial flowers were popular.
